How long has Richard Malland been in real estate?  Here is a photo of Richard at 5 years old wearing his brand new white suit that his grandmother bought for him.  In 1938 his grandmother Grace Ebert became a real estate broker in Huntington Park, CA.  Richard’s mother was in real estate as well, selling homes in South Gate and Downey, CA so it’s no wonder he followed in their footsteps and became a successful real estate agent himself.

Before becoming fully involved in real estate, Richard worked for his father C.W. Malland at his appliance store on Tweedy Boulevard in South Gate selling Frigidaire and Maytag appliances.  After leaving his father’s business Richard was hired as the youngest salesman for the Purex Corporation.  In four short years he was promoted to District Sales Manager and was by far the youngest of all the managers in the company.  His territory included 12 Western States and Hawaii.  After 7 years with Purex he became a manufacturer’s representative and sold Price Club which we all now know as Costco their first gallon of Windex.  He later sold the company and returned to his roots and got back into real estate.

Richard is what people in the industry call a “balanced agent” which basically means that he has represented many people with the sale of their home and then found them a new home to purchase.  His specializes in real estate located in Southern Orange County and Northern San Diego County.  He is a member of SoCal MLS in Orange County and Sandicor in San Diego County.  Richard resides in San Clemente and can be found every morning walking around the harbor in Dana Point.  On a side note; if you ever want to go sport fishing, just give Richard a call, he knows where all the best spots are!
